We made it to UB about 10ish saturday night, the Terios's sickly rear shocks kept it together but gave some interesting handling moments on the way into town. Cigars, beers and pizza were had with the other teams accompanied by much congratulatory backslapping! Booked into a hotel with deluxe pretentions and slept well! Much thanks to all our sponsors especially Riverside Garage, Bathwick Tyres, Jack Pyke, OPTIMA batteries, www.topautocare.co.uk and www.ecoshopdiect.co.uk Celebrations at the finish line also included toasts to you all! PS. we made it 8500miles without a single puncture!!!! we heard at the airport yesterday that another team is going to borrow our wheels and tyres for the return trip!!! cant wait to see how that turns out - UB amd back without a single puncture?!! PPS. upgraded with Aeroflot on the UB to Russia leg of the flight home - sweet! thanks to Dom's pops for scooping him up last night at Heathrow! |
