We have a car. Brilliant little beast. We are also spending some interesting evenings with a couple of drinks and talking a bit. We promise to do something eventually , but it just seems a bit soon.

Big Thanks

Hi everybody, first time on the blog thingy, bit new at this. But hey I just wanted to say a big thanks to those who have already started to help and sponsor Team Old and Bald. I have been and I suppose shouldn't have been really surprised with the genuine interest shown. I must say its only now going through the process of applying for the visas to Russia,Kazakhstan and Mongolia that it dawns on me what we have committed ourselves to. I did want to say a big thanks to Lyn for her unwavering support (Just wonder what she has planned for the four weeks I am away) must be a sale or two she can go to. Also to Mike,I can claim no responsibility for the web site between Andy and him they have done a great job, smashing thanks. Bring it on.

Visas et al

Visas are fun... just like going to the dentist and paying taxes. But at least they have been sent off now. Their dates may not match the dates we put on the forms for our 'letters of introduction'  (needed in addition to a visa for some countries) but we can discuss that with the relvant border authority when they spot it.  Insurance sent off, International Driving Permit applied for... it's starting to look like we'll have to go through with it after all.
