After an eight year career in the Canadian Army, Kent now works in the film industry, occasionally taking time out of his busy and hectic schedule to embark on new and wild adventures. With a penchant for foreign languages and hand gestures, Kent feels reasonably confidant that he can ask where the toilet is located in most of the countries that will be crossed during the rally.

Given to referring to himself in the third person John-Mark has undertaken this endeavor largely because he was bored. For too long he had promised himself that next year he would go traveling; next year, or soon. No longer will such weak sauce be passed around. He bide his time a' stuck while the iron was hot; no longer afraid to mix his metaphors John-Mark moved forward into broad sunlit uplands and signed up.
