We're not really sure when it sounded like a good idea to take a very-underpowered, small car for a 10,000 mile trip East across all of Europe and a large part of Asia. Or why the deserts, mountains, border crossings and lack of roads for a large percentage of the trip, didn't send us running for a 'saga holiday' brochure. But we're pretty sure alcohol will have played a major part in the decision. 'Old and Bald' are two blokes; John and Mike, who should be old enough to know better... but just couldn't resist this fantastic challenge. |
We can both remember a day when we were young enough to have seen this adventure as a 'real good crack' ...but thankfully we are now far too mature and grown up for that sort of malarchy and will be treating the event very seriously at least until Dover. So what's with the team name, I hear you ask? - Go on have a guess! Our real preferrence was Old and Bold - However, thanks must go to the respective families for a name they believed more apt. |
