Ladies & Gentlemen,
So where do we start....Firstly, Thank you very much to you all for your contributions, that not only made this rally possible for Team Swift but also enabled us to raise over £1500 for charity.
The rally has had plenty of ups and downs, and after much panicking and plenty of dodgy car fixes, the Suzuki Swift pulled through, even after some unfortunate attempts to send it to that big scrap yard in the sky!
We eventually made it to UlanBatar the capital of Mongolia after 7487 miles, 25 days and 11 countries! Mechanically we were minus one fuel filter (creatively replaced after it broke with a biro pen casing). Our fuel tank also took more of a beating than going 10 rounds with Mike Tyson, was fixed several times with abrosteel and even welded once, but in the end the most effective fix was to rub soap into the holes, and that afforded us another few hundred kilometres.
Once again we at Team Swift would like to say thank you so much for helping us undertake this momentous task, and achieve something that truly showed us the meaning of adventure.
We hope all is well with yourselves, and as soon as we are all back in the UK, then we'd more than welcome to go through the thousands of photo's and more than a few stories of our adventure.
Team Swift - Michael, Paul & Perry
